Perseverance, character, and hope provide us the determination and focus to accomplish our most difficult tasks, others call problems. We get frustrated, become angry, and often our goals lose their luster when little "unplanned things" happen and upset our apple-cart. How much unlike God can we be!
The peace of God's mighty hand is in the "unplanned things". Rejoice in your sufferings!. When unplanned things happen in your day, they are part of the Master's Plan. He is molding us in His image. He knows the sufferings we need to develop His perseverance while molding our character to His work which gives us hope. Hope springs eternal---which means it never ends.
God poured hope into our hearts through His Holy Spirit to overshadow disappointment and hold us to our course for His work. HALLELUIA! What a mighty God we serve.
Life is not a poker game, where God is the card we play when we want to win.
Life is given by God's hand and when God's will is manifest on the world that we don't understand- we run to Him for comfort and understanding. Once He comforts us and we have an understanding, we again turn away from God, until the next time.
When do you know that the manifestation of God's will is going to take back the life He has freely given us? When? Do you possibly know the hour of God's righteousness? No one can know--for God comes like a thief in the night. His righteousness is from everlasting to everlasting.
War has been declared by governments in recent days. Study the Bible and see that the battle lines were drawn long ago in the house of Abram (Abraham) with the birth of two children. Stand firm and the Lord will deliver us from this evil. Our American Muslim brethren need our prayers for safety and for salvation. In heavenly armor the righteous will stand---THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD!

I have been praying for direction in my life. Where would the Lord have me to serve His kingdom to His glory? While seeking seeking God's guidance these past several years, I have been led to several parts of the world. Korea, Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Alabama, and Texas. As I travel and draw close to Christians in these areas, I realize people are still seeking to know their path in life. People of all ages, races, and cultures. People still seek to know their future.
I have been the ears of the Lord, the eyes of the Lord, and the heart of the Lord in these places. By the same token, I have heard the word of the Lord, seen the work of the Lord, and experienced pain, love, and compassion with the heart of the Lord. What a blessing.
In this time of national mourning and spiritual awakening, I stand to serve His glory.

Jesus still lives! When America was founded we were given a national spiritual consciousness. The founder's of our mighty nation were very reverent and often sought God's word. What has changed? We've removed the church from the state in an unprecedented move by the Supreme Court in 1963. Shortly after prayer was removed from school and now the reading of the Holy Bible in public is under fire. The Flag Salute was removed from our school's curriculum and replaced with a moment of silent meditation. What do you meditate on when there is no ground to meditate? No foundation for basing beliefs or meditation.
Is the website that has gotten a child's attention their guide to meditation? Is this a bomb site, satanic worship site, or a pornographic site their focus? Direction and focus is needed.
If you are not certain about your salvation---or you have journeyed from His throne of grace in search of the things of this world. I want you to reflect and meditate on this last passage, then find a believer or in the solitude of your day where you are.

A cry went out for the safety of our government representatives as reports of Washington D.C. being attacked reached our ears. A concern for continuance and consistency of our government was broadcast live on CNN. In my thoughts it wasn't government that was so desperately needed it was a national consciousness of who America is spiritually. Our would be assailants, though still not identified, have no respect for life. Yet, they assumed control of a jet airliner and with their successful suicide effort took innocent people with them into these structures where occupants were also included without warning. It would be presumptive to say they all perished with the pilots. There is no knowing what God does, has done, and will do. There may still be passengers of those aircraft and occupants of those buildings yet alive. We can only pray. There but for the grace of God go I.
As we observe rescuers now digging through rubble of what was once a grand American landmark, we can only pray that more and more people have found the strength to survive. Today as schools return to their lessons and government continues their will be many moments of meditation and silent reflection. Father God, let these moments become passionate cries for your love and mercy to reign once again in America. Pour your grace freely over our land and give our leaders direction and wisdom to stand boldly and confess that America is going the wrong way. Turn our course to You Lord purposefully and deliberate.
To the rescuers who lost their lives in the beginning moments of this tragedy I eternally pause to consider their bravery for no greater loves has a man than to lay down his life for a friend.
